Cai Cherry is a lawyer specialising in litigation and regulatory advice. They are also an LGBTQ+ leader and an award-winning disability advocate. He dedicates a great deal of his time to pro bono legal work, including for LGBTQ+ and disability issues.

From growing up in Lincolnshire, to starting university and his career in London, Cai was inspired to write Speaker based on their own experiences of queer identity, mental health, and their work supporting LGBTQI+ asylum seekers with Rainbow Migration.
