Jesse Cather-Long

Jesse Cather-Long has been writing for as long as he can remember, beginning with short stories about his teddy bears at the age of six. From those early beginnings, storytelling quickly became a constant thread through their life.

Over the years, he has written countless short stories across a wide range of ideas and themes, so many that he's long since lost track. Writing has remained a core way of exploring imagination, emotion, and identity, evolving alongside him through each stage of life.

Today, Jesse uses writing not only as a creative practice but as a way to express pride in his identity and lived experience as a transgender and queer person. His work is rooted in a desire to empower, educate, and build understanding around LGBTQIA+ lives, often centring themes of identity, visibility, and community.

Through storytelling, Jesse continues to develop work that connects personal experience with broader narratives, aiming to offer both representation and resonance for readers who may see themselves reflected in his words.
