Parker Garrett

Parker Garrett is a nationally recognized expert in regulatory affairs, and institutional oversight. He holds a doctorate in bioethics and has spent more than twenty years working at the intersection of clinical ethics, research compliance, and emerging technologies. He has advised hospital ethics committees, nonprofits, federal agencies, and AI governance initiatives on managing ethical risk in complex situations. In his fiction, he explores how ethical frameworks operate in real institutions—and what happens when those systems are bypassed or deliberately abused, often with life-and-death consequences. His debut novel, Adverse Events, is set in a near-future America shaped by the deliberate dismantling of government oversight systems and explores the human cost of rebuilding patient safety through high-stakes, character-driven suspense. He lives with his husband in Lewes, Delaware
