The second book in the Nexus Series continues Lauren and Alex's adventures and challenges. Alex must roundup all the members of the Cador conspiracy and isolate its leaders. While Lauren and Terra prepare for her investiture as Consort to the Queen and Co-Ruler. Since Lauren was healed by the Ruler's Rite, she has been plagued by nightmares of failure and portents of abandonment.
